Mélanie Bourgeois

Mélanie has joined Energy Cities in January 2021. She coordinates the "Mayors Voice" activity at Energy Cities so that the elected representatives of our network can make their voices heard more effectively in Brussels. She keeps a close eye on energy and climate policies affecting cities and works in particular on projects linked to the decarbonisation of buildings, sufficiency and multi-level governance. Mélanie is a graduate of the European and international careers master's degree at Sciences Po Lille. Outside the office, Mélanie is always up for new adventures, whether culinary, sporting or artistic!

Passionate about energy transition and European politics, Mélanie joined Energy Cities in January 2021 as an intern and then as a policy officer. She works on different Green Deal policies as well as on issues related to heating and cooling in cities and to a fair, just and inclusive energy transition. Mélanie is a recent graduate of the European and international careers master's degree at Sciences Po Lille where she wrote her thesis on energy security and the integration of renewable energies in the European electricity system. Outside of the office, Mélanie is always up for new projects, whether culinary, sporting or artistic!
